Wes Zuunjai was an expert in the eradication of human life. Because of this mastery in dealing death, he became the highest paid assassin for the worlds largest and most powerful Mafia, the Vincolo led by Wes adopted mother. The Vincolo gave Wes countless opportunities to exercise his deadly craft and he did so with uncanny efficiency. Nevertheless, after being compelled by a System senate member to kill a circle of System Alpha Judges, Wes way of life was soon to be turned upside down.

The System denied the Vincolos demands, and in turn the Vincolo turned against the System, and against Wes. Wes was betrayed by his mother and became her scapegoat.

During the assassination attempt, Wes is captured and tried for his crimes, resulting in a death sentence. He is incarcerated in one of 7 city sized prisons/bio-medical/mining facilities, which have been constructed for the Systems mining of the highly efficient mineral, Zirromimael. While awaiting his execution, Wes body is grafted with Zirro-steel, a bio-metal that integrates with organic matter, enabling the System to monitor every convict, as well as control their bio-molecular physiology. Augmentations and enhancements to numerous body parts are performed to aid in mining. No matter the crime, once sentenced to these vile and amoral dungeons, there is no escape save for death, almost always at the Systems hands.

Weeks before he is to be executed, Wes is injected with the toxin, Thoxidrill, which contaminates blood cells. At the time of his execution, he will be hooked to a processor that charges his body, causing the contaminated blood cells to transfer into the Systems power reserve, killing him instantly.
On the eve of Wes execution, his life would once again be changed. A stranger came to his cell and transfused his blood with that of Wes. Later when hooked to the processor, instead of drawing Wes life essence from him, he is turned into a vessel of absolute power! His body is transformed as well as his spirit. With the heart of a servant, plus a new powerful body, he vows to bring down the Vincolos evil empire and protect the innocent and downtrodden.
